Contents : 557,087 : an exhibition organized by Lucy R. Lippard for the Contemporary Art Council of the Seattle Art Museum at the Seattle Art Museum Pavilion from September 5 to October 5 1969 ; Another version, titled 955,000, was presented by the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1970 [when] "42 new cards [had] been added to this catalogue since the Seattle showing". "The catalog consists of 95 4" x 6" index cards in random order including 64 cards compiled by the artists themselves, 20 text cards by l. r. l., 1 title page, 1 acknowledgements, 2 lists of the council members and officers, 1 forward by the council president, 1 list of artists, 3 selective bibliographies, 1 list of films shown, 1 addenda to artists' cards"--Acknowledgements. Copy 2 is part of the Ian Wallace collection. Oversize artists' books are shelved in the archives. |
