Summary:

"In this installment of the Ceramic Arts Daily presents video series, Suze Lindsay shares her techniques for her gestural wheel-thrown and altered functional pots. Suze believes that pots are like people, so she strives to imbue them with personality by darting, stacking, and assembling them into shapes that are subtly figurative. Suze begins the video demonstrating a simple pitcher form that is thrown, gently manipulated, and finished on the wheel. She then moves on to a variety of other pouring vessels made from thrown and handbuilt components and assembled on the tabletop. She rounds out the demonstration by showing the numerous ways she responds to these altered forms by pouring, dipping, and brushing on slips to enhance and highlight volume and personality of each pot."--Container.
