Illustrations are selections from the American Heritage Dictionary that hold erotic personal significance for the artist. The softcover book is modeled on a German student's reader, and organizes words and phrases such as bascule, foreshorten, lifeboat, Guglielmo Marconi, mortise, stinkhorn and tutu alphabetically. The compilation uncovers the inadvertent sexual overtones and undertones that seem apparent in the most unassuming terms. Cf.
