Body Armour

Summary: The Project X Team explores all kinds of bodily protection, from animal hides to body armour to human skin, discovering how nature and technology have evolved to protect us. Dr. Alters takes a dive beneath the ocean's waves to learn about some of the unusual protective suits of sea creatures. Dr. Fleck and Marc Huot give a brief history of human warfare (and self-preservation). Dr. Gardy then looks at the most personal form of armour, our skin, and finds that our body's largest organ contains the key to developing a new class of antibiotics.
