Summary: The remains of three Canadian soldiers who died fighting in northern France during the First World War have recently been identified. The three soldiers from Winnipeg fought in the Battle of Hill 70 in August 1917, the first major action to be led by a Canadian commander. Canadian forces suffered 9,200 casualties in the battle.
