Fat Chance

McKay, Jeff, (film director.). Konowal, Charles, (film producer.). MacDonald, Joe, (film producer.). Yetman, Ches, (film producer.). National Film Board of Canada (Montreal), (film producer.).

Summary: The first thing people notice about Rick Zakowich is his size. Creative therapist by day and blues singer by night, Rick's charisma and talent are undeniable, yet he remains fixed within the definition of a narrow label. The film began when Rick set out to change all that. But things didn't turn out as planned...instead of being a half-hour film about a 400-pound guy trying to lose 220 pounds, Fat Chance turned out to be a feature-length documentary about a 400-pound guy who hasn't lost weight but has gained self-confidence.
