17th annual protest against police brutality.
Summary:
"On March 15, 2013 the 17th annual anti-police brutality protest took place in Montreal. Immediate police intervention ended and dispersed the protest shortly after it had begun for not providing an itinerary of their route. Remaining protesters and bystanders were then kettled and mass arrested with little to no resistance. At the end of the day there were 297 arrests, 275 under the city of montreal's municipal by-law P-6. The march was organized by the Collective Opposed to Police Brutality, who believes Montreal police often use excessive force and unfairly target marginalized communities. This is an Account of what I saw."--colophon.
