[Paragraphs on labour art] / [Gabriella Solti].
Summary:
"My text borrows extensively from Sol LeWitt's Paragraphs on Conceptual Art. I altered his text in order to speak of my art practice. LeWitt's Paragraphs, written as a collection of fragments, speak of artistic intentions rather than defining a final outcome. This poetic, formal dimension of his writing that frames artistic practice as an open ended endeavor appeals to me greatly. Though LeWitt chose a different way of working, he had tremendous appreciation for manual labour and handmade art as his decade-long correspondence with his friend, Eva Hesse[...]For these reasons I adopted Sol LeWitt's text as a model for my writing"--Back page of work.
